Staying with us? We will be delighted to have you. But first, just a wee bit of housekeeping.

  • Reservations made within 14 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.
  • Lavender Hill accepts Visa, Mastercard and Account2Account
  • Prices are in NZ Dollars and include GST (goods and services tax 15%).



When booking a single room upstairs or downstairs, there may or may not be other parties staying. We will inform you of other occupancy at time of booking.

If you would like to enjoy exclusive, private use of the entire barn, you can secure that with “Whole House Booking”.

The person making the booking needs to be one of the guests (unless otherwise agreed) and no other parties are permitted.


In the event of any damage or additional extra cleaning is required beyond the normal wear & tear or use, during your stay with us an additional charge may be incurred.


For the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests we have a strict no party policy. Any noisy gatherings or excessive noise likely to disturb our guests may result in an immediate request to vacate your room.


We have a no smoking policy within all rooms of our property for the enjoyment and comfort of all our guests. There will be a charge for the sanitising of any rooms and any lost income as result of smoking, including vaping or e-cigarettes inside.


Vouchers will be redeemable for 12 months after purchase only. Voucher holders will liaise with Lavender Hill for accommodation availability or select dates in the booking system.Voucher holders for room bookings are for one or two person occupancy only


Any reservation made on the online booking website is made at your own risk. As you are entering information directly into the reservations system, all information entered by you will be assumed to be correct and final. Any errors or omissions will be the responsibility of the person entering any information into our online system. Coatesville Lavender Hill will not be held responsible, nor will they accept any financial liability for any errors or omissions in the information provided.

Pet Policy

No pets are allowed


The health and wellbeing of our guests is our utmost priority. As a responsible business we are committed to keeping you safe and providing flexibility for your booking.

We understand that, now more than ever, health and safety are at the forefront of our guests' minds. We have implemented additional cleaning and hygiene practices and a new flexible cancellation policy. Our farm activity also adapts to the different lockdown requirements.

Contact Tracing

We support contact tracing and make this easy via the COVID-19 app so that information can be provided to the health authorities if required at any time. 

Flexible Cancellation Policy

We hope that you'll be able to visit us as planned, but we understand that in these unprecedented times, we can't always be sure. That is why we're offering flexible date changes for all accommodation with us at no cost to allow you to stay or celebrate with us at a later date. We will happily transfer your booking to any available date within 12 months

Cancellation of Bookings (This policy applies to all reservations):

Cancellations made more between 90 and 21 days prior to the commencement of the booking attract a cancellation fee of 25% of the total booking plus a $10 administration fee.

Cancellations between 7 and 21 days or less, prior to the commencement of the booking, attract a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking plus a $10 administration fee.

Cancellation within 7 days of arrival date: 100% of the total booking price will be charged a $10 administration fee.

Credit Card details supplied will be used to charge any cancellation fees.

If we are able to replace your booking, this fee may be waived.    

If guests fail to take accommodation by the agreed date (ie a "no-show"), and without prior arrangement with Lavender Hill, the booking will be automatically cancelled.  100% of the booking fees.


Lavender Hill will not be liable for any loss of personal property of the guest.

Lavender Hill is not responsible for medical problems encountered before, during or after the guest's stay.

Should any dispute arise, such dispute will be governed by the laws of New Zealand
